Genocidal Attack

27 November 2015

A group of 50 Hindumesia militants raided the Śri Po.Ka. Sadhukkal Mutt (monastery) and brutally assaulted 2 Hindu monks beating them nearly unconscious and ransacking the property. The police offered no support or protection, but instead mocked and victim-shamed the victims.

Between 2015 and 2017, there have been numerous attempts by Hindumesia forces in collusion with State to expropriate the Śri Sadhukkal Mutt and the Arunachala Jnanadesikar Swami Mutt against court orders.

In 2019, the State run HR&CE Board passed an illegal order to seize control of the Vedaranyam Mutt, preventing the sanyasis of the Nithyānanda Order from entering into the kingdom, which was rightfully inherited by The SPH.
